I think ALEX PETTYFER is the perfect person for Finnick. i mean really who could prove that wrong. Even though they didnt cast him as Petta. He was to old to play Petta anyway but Finnick, PERFECT!!! all my friends aggre. so u should too!
well, yeah, he’s hot, he gets cast as too much of a jerk type though. I don’t think he could pull off Finnick’s sensitive side. His provocative, seductive side, yes – but not so much someone capable of showing the deep emotion Finnick expresses in Mockingjay, which is a VITAL part in the casting.
In short, I kinda doubt he’ll be cast.
The name is spelt Peeta BTW not Petta. And Grant Gustin should play it. All the way.
I think Jensen Ackles would be perfect or Garrett Hedlund.

I SAW THE FILM YESTERDAY. I was in the first 250 to attend the London premiere and therefore seeing sooner. It was good but not as good as imagined it. The camera angles were weird and each scene was very short and you therefore didn’t time to “get into it” also seemed pretty basic not hollywood at all which I guess is good for some. Other then that I liked it. Marks out of 100? 65.

i don’t think they should get a very popular and very famous actor to play the role of Finnick. Like The Hunger Games younger category of casting is actors and actresses which are popular if your a fan of them particularly but over all they are all rising stars to the big screens, you know they’re not all ‘well’ known.
So if they choose a new actor who is well known by a lot of people, it would put it off a bit.
Because at the moment, its more like “wow who are all these young actors and actresses!?” “oh i think that ones in this movie” “And i thought I’ve seen that one before”

I think that Alex Pettyfer would be a horrible choice for finnick. He just couldn’t pull off Finnicks emotional and mentally disturbed side. To me, he doesn’t look right either. Honestly, Alex Pettyfer and Garrett Hedlund look most like Finnick to me. No one else has that really distinct look that I have in my head for Finnick. I originally thought Alex Pettyfer would be perfect and I use him as an example when I explain to people how I pictured Finnick. But, honestly, does he really have the acting skills? I saw him in I Am Number Four and Beastly and I cringed at parts because of his acting. I don’t think he can pull of Finnick, as far as acting the part goes. Don’t get me wrong, he definitely has the look but I just don’t think he’s a good actor.
Garrett Hedlund also definitely has the look that I have visualized for Finnick and he has my vote at the moment. I’m crossing my fingers because lots of rumors are swirling that he’ll be picked. With him, again, I am just a little worried about the acting. I never saw all of Tron but the bits I did see were only okay. I think he could pull it off better than Alex Pettyfer could, even though Alex Pettyfer is really attractive.
If anyone has any suggestions of movies that either of the two did a great job in (specifically Garrett Hedlund), let me know!
With Finnick, looks are first. But then we have to look beyond that to see if the fan favorite is really up to the challenge professionally.
